BADD JUJU is a musical collective formed in early 2022 and was founded by singer/songwriter & multi-instrumentalist, juju. BADD JUJU features a rotating cast of Las Vegas’ best session musicians. In 2024, BADD JUJU won the Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails Battle of the Bands. They received $5,000 and a free recording session with Iconica Records where they recorded their breakout single & funk-rock anthem “Hold On Me”.
BADD JUJU’s unique blend of soul, funk, & rock is classic but not imitable. Instrumentally and sonically, BADD JUJU pays homage to the funk & soul pioneers of the past century with a modern edge to drive it forward. BADD JUJU is known for their deceivingly dense arrangements, rewarding repeat listens. In concert, they are an explosive force that blends musicianship and showmanship into a form that is unlike any other act out there today. In juju’s words, BADD JUJU’s mission is to subject every listener to “real music by real musicians.”
Being a collective, BADD JUJU rotates cast members consistently, taking the best of what's around in Vegas' bustling music scene and providing these musicians a space to embellish and showcase their talents at the height of their ability. At their core, BADD JUJU consists of frontman and songwriter Eric "juju" Torres (far left) on vox/guitar/keys, Joe Palispis (middle left) on vox/guitar, Skyy Tyrell (middle right) on vox/keys/sax, and Niko Candelaria (far right) on drums/percussion. Other musicians who are consistent faces in their roster include Ruben Van-Gundy (bass), Chris Foster (vox/drums), Dante DeJulio (bass), and Spencer King (keys).
